Directing the Music Video for Range Da Messenga "Miracle"

So, I am directing another video for the talented Virginia born Philadelphia based singer/emcee Range Da Messenga.  Yesterday we wrapped the music video shoot for "Miracle" the second single off Range Da Messenga's EP BattleCry (Produced by Philly based producer Hezekiah) our set location was in Roanoke, VA--where Range Da Messenga is from.  I worked with the talented Keith Thomas as my DP on the video and had a great time working in Roanoke.  The music video for "Miracle" by Range Da Messenga will be out in December, I got to take a nice picture behind the scenes from the shoot: 

New Acting Projects Coming Soon!

Acting projects coming soon for Rebekah Frimpong AKA: BGNB of BGNB Productions.  As Rebekah prepares for new media related projects she will be going to where she started; acting.  With training in theater acting and make-up artistry, Rebekah worked on student projects and later got interested in filmmaking after making her debut acting appearance in a student film.  Look for her new acting work this winter.

Music Videos, Commercials, and Production

Recently, Rebekah Frimpong has been working on three music videos.  One by the artist Kwabena Jones from Ghana/US, another by Waterfalls of Uganda, and the video for Soul/Hip-Hop artist Range Da Messenga.  Look for all videos to come out later this year.  Also look for two commercials to air for the African Restaurant Joloff in Brooklyn New York and for a new African owned clothing line coming out later this summer.

The Launch of a New Career...

On March 15, 2012 Rebekah Frimpong will be launching the new magazine Young African Visionaries (YAV) Magazine.  Being published under her multi-media company BGNB Productions, YAV Magazine will be a spin off of her thesis project she started in 2011 called the Young African Visionaries Project.  Look for this magazine to be distributed on three continents, have work from contributors from all around the world, and that will provide a refreshing look at African youth of today.

New Film Coming Soon

Check for Rebekah's new film " Crooked Notes" coming summer of 2012.  This feature length film is about a young jazz musician who finds hope again for life through her music.
